DON'T FORGET THE HANGAR SHOW
Please help get the word out! Everyone is invited! The first ever Hangar Show is coming March 23rd at WITC-New Richmond. The show will be held from 6-9 PM. Information on construction costs and design options will be available from a variety of area hangar builders. Representatives from Butler Buildings, Menards, Cleary, Walters, Lester, Morton, Northland, UBC, Wick, Schweiss, and Hi-Fold will be in attendance as well as local lending institutions. The builders are getting very, very competitive - future hangar owners should walk away with great prices. If you are thinking of building a new hangar or updating an existing hangar at any airport, you can't miss this show. WORK CONTINUES
Planning for the taxiway and hangar area expansion is continuing. This Thursday, City officials and the airport engineers will meet to discuss the final plans for the project. Next Monday, soil boring crews are scheduled to work on the west side of runway 14-32 along the proposed taxiway. Information on the upcoming projects will be available at the Hangar Show on Thursday evening. 

ZONING UPDATE
Last week I mentioned the public hearing on the amended airport zoning ordinance. The public hearing will be on Thursday, April 6th at 5:00 PM at the Civic Center in New Richmond instead of April 4th. Airport users are welcome to attend.

AVIATION CONFERENCE
The annual Wisconsin Aviation Conference is planned for April 10th - 12th at the Holiday Inn in Stevens Point. Check-out the Wisconsin Bureau of Aeronautics website for information. http://www.dot.state.wi.us/dtid/boa/aviation_conf.htm

COMING THIS SUMMER
Plans are underway for an official New Richmond Municipal Airport-cam sometime this summer. A digital camera will be mounted near the electrical building on the south side of the airport. Images of the runways/ramp area will be taken every 5 minutes or so and posted on the airport website. And…as of last Friday, the airport has a still-picture digital camera. Watch the website for new pics.

PCATD NOW AVAILABLE
A new simulator is available for use at NRMA. The new sim is approved by the FAA - you can actually log time on the device when under the supervision of a flight instructor. All airports in the US with an instrument approach procedure are in the database. To give it a try, call me at 246-7735. 

CALENDAR OF EVENTS
March 28th - Regular meeting of the Airport Commission in hangar 61. 6:00 PM. A cookout is planned for after the meeting. Everyone is invited! 
April 6th - Planning Commission meeting/public hearing at the Civic Center - 5 PM
April 10-12 - Wisconsin Aviation Conference at the Holiday Inn in Stevens Point
