SAFETY SEMINAR
Thank you to the forty-eight people who attended the FAA Aviation Safety Seminar at WITC last Thursday night. The last time the FAA came to town for a safety seminar was in 1995. Marlan Perhus, the FAA Safety Program Manager, stated he was impressed with the turnout and is planning on coming back to New Richmond in two years. Several handouts, maps, and airport directories left over from the seminar are available for the taking in the pilot lounge in Griggs Aviation.
FLIGHT PLANNING PAGE DEBUTS
An assortment of useful aviation weather products is now available in one place. Several of the weather products discussed at the Safety Seminar were compiled and arranged in a convenient order. METAR reports, Terminal Aerodrome Forecasts, SIGMETS, AIRMETS, NEXRAD images, etc. are available at:

NEW AIRPORT COMMISSION MEMBER
Mayor Dave Schnitzler will appoint a new member to the Airport Commission at a special meeting of the City Council Tuesday night. Six-year Airport Commission member and City Councilwoman Mary Zipperer did not seek re-election to the Council. City ordinances require two of the seven Airport Commission members come from the Council.
