ONE MORE TIME
The Domain feed mill implosion did not occur last weekend as originally scheduled due to technical difficulties encountered by the demolition crew. The temporary flight restrictions planned for the area last weekend were cancelled. The demolition crew is going to try it again this Saturday at 2:30 PM. A new temporary flight restriction was issued yesterday:

NOTICE TO AIRMEN - TEMPORARY FLIGHT RESTRICTION IN THE VICINITY OF NEW RICHMOND MUNICIPAL AIRPORT EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 14, 2002 FROM 2000 ZULU (2:00 PM LOCAL) TO 2100 ZULU (3:00 PM LOCAL) FOR A 1 MILE RADIUS OF THE 181 DEGREE RADIAL 1.2 NAUTICAL MILES FROM NEW RICHMOND MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (KRNH), SURFACE TO 4000 FEET MEAN SEA LEVEL. FLYING DEBRIS, DUST, AND EXPLOSION HAZARD IN THE VICINITY OF A BUILDING DEMOLITION SITE. CONTACT AIRPORT MANAGER FOR FURTHER INFORMATION 715-246-7735.

FUEL TRUCK
Griggs Aviation, the self-service fuel supplier at New Richmond Municipal Airport, is venturing in to the full-service fuel business with the purchase of a fuel delivery truck last week. The truck is designed to pump Jet-A and will be used to fuel turbine powered aircraft in the north and south hangar areas at New Richmond Municipal Airport. 

AIRNAV INFO
Airnav.com updated their website recently. Airnav has traditionally been a great source for finding information on airport businesses, runway layouts, frequencies, etc. for airports around the US. The updated Airnav website now includes local weather observations and forecasts, and sunset and sunrise information for the local airport. http://www.airnav.com/airport/KRNH

AIRPORT BUDGET
The 2003 New Richmond Municipal Airport budget was approved by the City Council Wednesday night. The budget includes funding for several pieces of airport equipment, new signs near the airport entrance, airport directory signs, security cameras, and funding for various important improvements.

MAC AIRPORTS IN THE NEWS
Metropolitan Airport Commission, the operator of the various airports surrounding the Twin Cities, is under serious pressure from Northwest Airlines. The result could mean trouble for general aviation. In case you haven't heard the story on the news, here are links to articles regarding MAC:

NEW DOT WEBSITE
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation - Bureau of Aeronautics upgraded their website last month. The new address is: http://www.dot.state.wi.us/modes/air.htm

A FEW LAST THINGS
- Congratulations go to John Weigel of Houlton, WI and Ryan Powers from New Richmond on the successful completion of their private pilot certificates. 
- The non-directional radio beacon underwent a six-month inspection last week
